Jakarta Taxation and Retribution Agency (BPRD) Head, Edi Sumantri said, during that period, taxpayer does not need to pay administrative sanction. This policy is done to encourage taxpayers to fulfill their obligations.

He mentioned, 3 million of around 6.5 million two-wheeled vehicle owners have not paid their tax yet. While for four-wheeled vehicle, there are 450 of 2 million vehicle owners.
He affirmed, BPRD with Police and Transportation Dept. will increase their traffic control after 31 August. Moreover, tow sanction will be given to people who has not paid vehicle tax for three years or netted by officer.
Later on, towed vehicle will be charged with extra cost for stay, up to Rp 500 thousand per night.
